History

The Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health provides the most talented players in South Florida with real, attainable pathways to reach the highest levels of the sport. The Club fully funds six youth teams across six age groups from U12 through U17. Inter Miami CF vows to recruit, retain and develop its local talent to create a strong pipeline of prospects for the First Team under the U.S. Soccer Development Academy umbrella.

Officially launched in 2019 prior to its first season in MLS, the Academy consists of teams in age groups U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, and U-17.

The Academy trains and competes at Inter Miami Training Center, alongside the MLS and MLS NEXT Pro teams.

First Official Academy Home Game

The first-ever official Academy match in south Florida was played on September 7, 2019 in front of supporters group members.

Academy Faces FC Barcelona

In December 12, 2019, the U-14 Academy team participated in the ICC Futures Tournament featuring some of the top academy teams from across the globe. Inter Miami's opponents in the tournament included FC Barcelona, Shanghai Football Team and Juventus FC, among others.
