- Inter Miami CF is set to face Nashville SC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 tonight in what will be the second matchup between the sides in the past week. The match, which will be just the third in U.S. Open Cup history to be played at DRV PNK Stadium, is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
- The team will make its third appearance in this year’s edition of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against Nashville and needs four more wins to win the first cup in Club history and clinch a spot in the 2024 edition of the Concacaf Champions League. Inter Miami reached the Round 16 after defeating Miami FC on penalties on the road in the Third Round on April 26, and the Charleston Battery on May 9 in the Round of 32 at DRV PNK Stadium.
- Defender Ian Fray is set to register his first start for Inter Miami’s First Team tonight, becoming the third Academy product to start a match for the First Team this season. Fray joins midfielders Benjamin Cremaschi and David Ruiz; defender Noah Allen has also featured for the First Team this season.
- Inter Miami currently features three former Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup winners on its roster in DeAndre Yedlin, who won it in 2014 with Seattle Sounders FC, Victor Ulloa, who helped FC Dallas clinch the title in 2016, and Josef MartÃnez who, who won it in 2019 with Atlanta United.
- Nashville earned their place in the Round of 16 by defeating USL League Championship side San Antonio FC 1-0 in the Third Round and FC Dallas 2-0 in the Round of 32 at home at GEODIS Park.
