On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 15, Inter Miami hosted a Q&A with Panamanian defender Román Torres on the Club’s Twitter account. Fans were able to interact and ask questions to get some insight into the life of the 34-year-old center back who guided Panama’s national team to their first World Cup appearance and is a two time MLS Cup winner.

How does it feel to be an Inter Miami player?
A:
“I feel like a privileged player and I’m happy to belong to this club.”

How has life in Miami been so far?
A:
“I enjoy Miami a lot, it reminds me of Panama because of the sun, the people, the weather, everything. The most important thing is that my family is happy to be here.”
Q:
Why did you change your epic hairstyle?
A:
“It wasn’t an easy decision to make because my daughter didn’t want me to cut my hair. But I convinced her and cut my hair and well it’s another change.”

Who’s your favorite Inter Miami teammate so far?
A:
“All of them. They are all my best friends because we are a family and a very united team. So they are all my best friends.”

The best part of Inter Miami’s project and how is Diego Alonso?
A:
“For me, the best things are the organization and structure they put together in a short period of time. For me, he is a very humble person and a person with a winning mentality like the rest of us.”

What is your favorite style of music?
A:
“My favorite types of music are reggaeton, salsa, vallenato and we can’t forget about god, always with a praise or Christian music.”

What personal goals do you want to accomplish at the Club?
A:
“I have many objectives that I want to achieve with this club, and with the help of god those things will happen. One of them is to be MLS champions.”
