Inter Miami extended its unbeaten streak to three games following the team’s 1-1 draw against Orlando City SC at Exploria Stadium

Head coach Phil Neville praised his team’s performance as they once again fought back from a goal behind to earn a positive result.

“We’re beginning to resemble a team. A team that could fight back from disappointments coming from a goal down…We’ve competed and been equally as good,” said Neville.

Neville attributes this stretch of good form to the hard work the players have done to grow in confidence and ensure that their performances are up to the teams’ and the coaches’ standards.

“I think what we’ve seen in the last three games is the beginning of what we’ve been trying to work on all season: the trust to give each other the ball, the courage to take the ball under pressure, the players being in the right position to receive the ball in space, players understanding now the system that we want to play, and a goalkeeper that has got so much ability with his feet.”

Heineken Man of the Match Kieran Gibbs, who scored the equalizer for Inter Miami, is enjoying the teams’ recent performances and places his trust in the manager to guide the team to success.

“I’m just happy we managed to continue an unbeaten run, it’s good for the team, it’s always good for the confidence,” said the defender.

“We just have to stick with the plan that the manager gives us and give a hundred percent and hopefully positive results will continue to come.”

Neville still believes the players can continue to improve, but this game, and the ones that preceded it, are certainly taking the Club in the right direction.

“I want them to have more belief, I want them to have the belief that I have in them. I think it’s another small step forward in terms of where we want to get to.

“Now we’re just beginning to see the resemblance of a team that resembles me,” concluded Neville.
