Inter Miami CF is ramping up for its second home match this season, when it’ll face Los Angeles FC at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday, March 12 at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Head coach Phil Neville reflected on Inter Miami’s recent defeat, sharing that the team is excited to put its struggles behind it in front of the home crowd.

“There’s days we have to do our talking on the field and tomorrow we will do that. We owe our supporters a performance and for me, it’s about building a fortress here at DRV PNK Stadium, to make sure that when teams come here it’s going to be hard and we’re going to make it where we are successful in our home games,” said Neville. “If we get a performance and we stick to the game plan, then the result tends to look after itself.”

Neville emphasized the importance of the squad’s confidence to bounce back against a formidable and talented LAFC team.

“Ultimately, tomorrow is about our attitudes, our consistency in our play and about the confidence and bravery to go out there and perform for Inter Miami.”

Midfielder Mo Adams believes that last week’s result allows the team an opportunity to come together.

“I think you learn more in defeat than in victory, right? It’s a lot easier to adjust as a group when there’s a lot of people in the same position. A lot of new guys coming in had to lean on each other and learn together and move forward as one. The defeat last week was tough to take, and there’s a little bit of a reality check in the sense that we’ve got a lot of work to do. So I think for us now it’s accepting the fact that we lost the last game, and facing the truth and moving forward as one, because we can’t dwell on the [last] result right now. We’ve got a game tomorrow against a good side and we’ve been looking to get a victory”

Adams also echoed head coach Neville’s sentiments about protecting the home field advantage, and how important the fans, Inter Miami’s Heartbeat, are to the team.

“We’re obviously very excited to get back out and play at home in front of our fans; we’ll be counting on them to cheer and offer us support. At the same time, we want to make this place a difficult venue for teams to come and play. We want to make it our home in the sense that any team that comes here faces a big challenge. For us, it’s to dictate the play at home, be on the front foot, play in their half, and get the result.”
