Round Four Against Philadelphia
Inter Miami CF continues its campaign at DRV PNK Stadium after its loss against New England Revolution on Wednesday. Goalkeeper Nick Marsman, defender Kieran Gibbs and attacker Indiana Vassilev made their Inter MIami debuts in that match.
Sunday’s fixture will be the fourth encounter between the teams and the first one at DRV PNK Stadium. The last game played between Inter Miami and the Philadelphia Union was on April 25, 2021, a 1-2 victory for Inter Miami in which both Higuaín brothers scored, Gonzalo in the 73rd minute and Federico in the 83rd. The brothers broke a record during the match, making it the first time in MLS history where two brothers scored in the same game.
Fútbol Salutes - Military Appreciation Night Presented by Wendy's
Inter Miami will also host Fútbol Salutes - Military Appreciation Night Initiatives Presented by Wendy’s on Sunday. The event will honor and celebrate servicemen and women across South Florida. The event will include the United States flag displayed by supporters in the North Stand during pre-match ceremony and the Star Spangled Banner performance by United States Army Veteran, Specialist Charles Jones.
The team will wear limited edition adidas Camo pre-match jerseys upon arrival to DRV PNK Stadium. Servicemen and women in attendance will receive a 10% discount at DRV PNK Stadium concessions and merchandise, including new camo items, at Fanatics retail locations by showing a valid military ID.
Fans are encouraged to submit a photo of friends or family in the military for a chance to be featured on the videoboards during the match. Photos can be submitted by clicking HERE. Fans can also use #FutbolSalutes and tag @intermiamicf on social media photos for a chance to be featured.
Inter Miami is teaming up with Vettix.org to provide tickets to local servicemen and women to attend the July 25 match.
