Aiming for Three Points Against the Revs
On Saturday, Inter Miami will aim to repeat the result from its last meeting with New England. The last time the team’s faced off, Inter Miami came away with a 0-1 away win on 2021 MLS Decision Day at Gillette Stadium.
Familiar Faces
The match may offer the opportunity for a notable reunion, as Revolution defender A.J. DeLaGarza returns to DRV PNK Stadium. DeLaGarza featured for Inter Miami in its inaugural season, making six total appearances for the team in 2020.
Back Into the Mix
In Inter Miami’s most recent match, the team started Nick Marsman and Robbie Robinson, with the pair returning to full fitness from injury. Marsman started and played the full 90 minutes in his first MLS match since suffering an injury late in the 2021 season, while Robinson made his second appearance and first start of 2022.
Scouting the New England Revolution
New England will enter Saturday’s match following a 0-1 home loss to the New York Red Bulls last weekend. In 2021, the team claimed the Supporters’ Shield title, setting a new MLS record with 73 points on the season.
New England is led by the 2021 MLS MVP Carles Gil, who topped the league with 18 assists last season. The team also features a pair of notable new additions in Jozy Altidore and Sebastian Lletget, who have each appeared in all of the team’s MLS matches in 2022, scoring one goal each thus far.
