Back on the Road
Inter Miami will look to beat St. Louis following consecutive draws against Austin FC and Columbus Crew at home at DRV PNK Stadium, and most recently on the road against D.C. United in the teams last matchup.
Academy Products Make History
The match against D.C. United saw the team make Club history, as it marked the first time that two Academy products scored in the same game in an MLS matchup. Two Homegrown talents, midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi and defender Noah Allen, scored their first career MLS goals to help Inter Miami secure a point on the road.
Additionally, it was the first occasion in Club history where six Academy products made an appearance on the pitch for Inter Miami: Allen, Edison Azcona, Israel Boatwright, Cremaschi, Ian Fray and David Ruiz.
MLS Team of the Matchday Duo
For Cremaschi and goalkeeper Drake Callender, their performance against D.C. earned them MLS Team of the Matchday honors for Matchday 24 of the 2023 regular season. Cresmachi’s first career MLS goal earned him a spot on the Team of the Matchday bench, marking the second consecutive inclusion in the MLS Team of the Matchday for the 18-year-old Key Biscayne native.
Callender's performance, meanwhile, was one demonstrative of his remarkable season so far, stopping seven shots on target to help Inter Miami earn a valuable point on the road, earning him a spot on the bench for Team of the Matchday as well.
First Meeting in Club History
Saturday’s matchup with St. Louis CITY SC will be the first meeting between the two sides in Club history, as St. Louis is currently playing in their debut season in the league.
'Tata' Debut
Recently appointed Inter Miami head coach Gerardo 'Tata' Martino will manage his first match for the team on Saturday.
