In Search of First Road Win of 2023Â
Inter Miami will aim to secure if its first win on the road of the 2023 MLS regular season in this weekend's trip to Cincinnati.
The team is coming off of a narrow 2-3 loss at home against Chicago Fire in which Argentines Franco Negri and Nicolás Stefanelli scored their first MLS and Inter Miami goals, while Negri also tallied his first assist for the Club. Additionally, Inter Miami CF II midfielder David Ruiz made his First Team and MLS debut against Chicago as he was signed on a short-term loan agreement ahead of the fixture.
MLS Team of the Matchday Honors for Negri
Negri was named in the Team of the Matchday for Matchday 5 of the 2023 MLS regular season, thus earning MLS Team of the Matchday Honors for the first time since joining the Club. The Argentine left back secured his spot on the team after an influential performance, registering a goal and an assist in the team’s third home match of the season.
First 2023 Battle Against Cincy
Saturday's game will be the first of two between the sides in the 2023 regular season. Last time Inter Miami took on FC Cincinnati, the teams played out an exciting matchup at DRV PNK Stadium in July 2022 that finished tied 4-4.
