“We’re looking forward to the season. You work hard all preseason to get to this point when you are a few days out from matchday and all of a sudden butterflies start appearing in the belly. You can see the excitement among the players, there’s been a different feel this week since it's a game week. It's time to stop talking and get down to action… I’ve got incredible trust and belief in this group of players and now we are ready to do our talking on the pitch,” said Inter Miami CF head coach Phil Neville.

Opening Season in South Florida
Inter Miami will be starting its season in South Florida at DRV PNK Stadium for a third consecutive season after hosting the LA Galaxy in 2021 and the Chicago Fire in 2022. The team will be looking to kick off the season on the frontfoot. Last year, Inter Miami earned a point through goalless draw in the team’s 2022 Home Opener against the Fire.
Additionally, Inter Miami will aim to replicate its stellar home form throughout the 2022 season. DRV PNK Stadium became a fortress for the team throughout the 2022 season; buoyed by the relentless support of its passionate fans, Inter Miami compiled a record of 10W-4L-3D at home for a total of 33 points, good for a tie for third-most home wins in the league and a tie for sixth-most home points.
Offseason Reinforcements
Inter Miami CF will begin its fourth season in the league with several offseason signings to strengthen its roster who may make their official debuts with the team on Saturday: defenders Franco Negri and Ukrainian international and former Shakhtar Donetsk standout Sergii Kryvtsov, midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi, and attackers Shanyder Borgelin, former MLS MVP Josef Martínez and Nicolás Stefanelli.
Returning Stars
Inter Miami has retained a strong core of players in its roster which helped the team achieve its most successful season to date in 2022. 2022 standouts such as MLS Goalkeeper of the Year finalist Drake Callender, USMNT 2022 FIFA World Cup participating defender DeAndre Yedlin, the Brazilian midfield duo composed of team captain Gregore and Jean Mota, and young Ecuadorian striker Leandro Campana are some of the returning Inter Miami stars. In addition, midfielder Rodolfo Pizarro has returned from his loan spell in his native Mexico and is ready to be a key member for the team throughout the 2023 campaign.
Previous CF Montréal Matchups
Inter Miami has clashed against the Canadian side six times in MLS action to date, with the team scheduled to take on Montréal twice throughout the 2023 regular season.
Scouting CF Montréal
Montréal’s main signings during the offseason to strengthen their roster were 21-year-old defensive midfielder Ilias Lliadis, who joined the team from the B side of Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos F.C., and 20-year-old forward Jules-Anthony Vilsaint, who joined the Canadian outfit from Belgian first division side Royal Antwerp F.C.
