Heron Talk presented by Gallagher
Ahead of Inter Miami CF’s match against the New England Revolution on Saturday, April 9 at DRV PNK Stadium, goalkeeper Nick Marsman addressed the media and previewed the game today.
Marsman was positive about the upcoming match, noting that the squad has been working diligently to come together as a unit and produce results.
“We have to get our momentum and gain confidence. I think it’s a lot about confidence and helping each other. Now for us, it’s about getting the details right. I think we’re close. But now we really have to show it.”
The Dutch national also noted that despite the team’s outcome in the season’s first few games, the team is looking ahead with desire to deliver results.
“Although we had some losses, I think we have a very good group that really wants to work, has a lot of energy, and wants to help each other. In the last week, we’ve talked a lot with each other. I think we have to go through the barriers and demand more from each other. We spoke a lot about that, but I don’t like to only speak, we have to show it out there.”
Marsman concluded the press conference by praising the loyal Inter Miami CF fans and their support during home games at DRV PNK Stadium, noting that his return from injury was buoyed by an electric atmosphere last weekend.
“That was a great feeling to be back. I missed that too, to play in front of our fans. Everybody asks me if I rather play at home or away; for sure at home because our fans are amazing. They always cheer for us and we have to give them something back. Let’s start Saturday.”
