Come celebrate the Noche d’Or and see Lionel Messi suit up for Inter Miami one more time in 2023
Inter Miami CF’s historic 2023 campaign will reach its conclusion this Friday, Nov. 10, when the team hosts Eastern Conference foe New York City FC for its final match of the year. Fans will have one final opportunity to see their favorite players, including captain and 2023 Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi, take the field for Inter Miami before players depart to represent their national teams during the important November FIFA international window. The match will pit Inter Miami against NYCFC in a rematch of Round One of the 2022 MLS Cup Eastern Conference Playoffs. The sides have faced each other twice so far in 2023, most recently at DRV PNK Stadium in September, resulting in 1-1 draw.
The night, dubbed the Noche d’Or, will celebrate Messi’s eighth Ballon d’Or win, and will be marked by festivities and speeches around the match.
Messi’s historic achievement was also commemorated upon his return to South Florida last week, when his teammates and coaches honored him at training with a celebratory tunnel and signed gift.
The Inter Miami captain then took his opportunity to inspire the next generation of Inter Miami stars, presenting his Ballon d’Or trophy to the Academy players later in the week, giving them the first look at the piece of history.
