Inter Miami CF announced today it has transferred Leandro González Pirez to Club Atlético River Plate after the Argentine side exercised the option to purchase the defender following a two-year loan.
González Pirez initially signed for Inter Miami during its inaugural season in July 2020. The 31-year-old Buenos Aires, Argentina native then went on to make 46 total appearances and record two goals and five assists for the team over two seasons before his two-year loan at River Plate through the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
