Inter Miami CF will visit FC Cincinnati at TQL Stadium in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinals on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
Match kickoff time and broadcast details will be announced at a later time.
The draw also determined hosting priority for the final, with the order being determined as follows:
- Real Salt Lake
- Inter Miami CF
- FC Cincinnati
- Houston Dynamo FC
Should Inter Miami advance to the final, it would either travel to face Real Salt Lake on the road, or host Houston Dynamo FC at home at DRV PNK Stadium, depending on the winner of the two Western Conference teams’ semifinal match. The final will be played on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
The Club earned its place in the semifinals by defeating Miami FC, Charleston Battery, Nashville SC, and Birmingham Legion FC. FC Cincinnati, meanwhile, reached this stage with wins over Louisville City FC, New York City FC, New York Red Bulls and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
The 2023 edition of the tournament marks Inter Miami CF’s second year participating in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Tournament. The Club made history with Wednesday night’s win over Birmingham, reaching the Semifinals of the Open Cup for the first time in Club history. Inter Miami is now just two wins away from the first cup in Club history and clinching a spot in the 2024 edition of the Concacaf Champions Cup.
