Inter Miami CF players are back in Florida in preparation for the 2021 MLS season, which is scheduled to begin on April 17.
The Club began voluntary training on Monday, March 1, and will officially kick off its second-ever preseason in the league on Monday, March 8, at the 50,000-square-foot Inter Miami CF Training Center, which boasts six natural grass fields and one turf field for the Club’s pro and youth players. The training center sits adjacent to the Club’s 18,000 capacity Inter Miami CF Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
Inter Miami will train and play in its facilities for most of the preseason, with the exception of March 26-April 3, when the team will travel north to Sarasota, Fla.
The First Team is currently set to play five closed-door preseason friendlies, facing MLS sides New York Red Bulls and Nashville SC, in addition to USL Championship sides Miami FC, Tampa Bay Rowdies and Charleston Battery.
The Club will host a final preseason match the weekend prior to the 2021 MLS season opener. Details for this match, including whether it will be open to fans, will also be announced at a later date along with the full 2021 season schedule.
