Inter Miami returns home to DRV PNK Stadium on Sunday to play its second home game of the season against Atlanta United. The team comes back home after an unbeaten string of away games against Philadelphia Union and Nashville SC. Mexican international midfielder Rodolfo Pizarro spoke about his thoughts on the team this year and himself as a player.
“I think we are improving. We are a better team than last season. We are a very good team, very difficult to beat,” said Pizarro. “When we play more games, we will be better.”
“I think we have a good team, we are strong. It will be difficult for other teams to score against us and the truth is we are very excited to play at home the next two games. I think we at home have to be very strong for the fans. The fans help a lot and because of the heat I think it's very difficult for other teams to come here and play so I think we will be very strong.”
Pizarro also shared his excitement about this upcoming three-game week as well as how it will help him become a better player.
“I think this week will be very important because there will be three games and I think this week I will be close to reaching a better playing level than the one I was at. In terms of my playing level, I try to do well, I am still not at my best but I am working towards getting there, to help the team and once again be the player I have been,” he concluded.
