New Inter Miami players Kieran Gibbs and Nick Marsman have arrived in South Florida and began training with the team at the Inter Miami CF Training Center after signing for the Club earlier this year.Â
Gibbs joined Inter Miami from West Bromwich Albion F.C. after making over 300 appearances across all competitions in 14 seasons playing in England, primarily with Arsenal FC in the Premier League. The fullback won three FA Cups with the Gunners.Â
On the international stage, Gibbs has featured for England from the youth levels up to the senior team. The 31-year-old made his senior national team debut in a friendly against Hungary in 2010 and went on to make 10 total appearances for the team, including four in UEFA Euro qualifying matches.
Marsman signed for Inter Miami after two years with Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Eredivisie, the Dutch first division. The 30-year-old goalkeeper registered over 130 Eredivisie appearances since making his debut in 2011, primarily for FC Twente and Feyenoord Rotterdam. The goalkeeper also gained valuable experience by competing in the UEFA Europa League during his time plying his trade in his home country.
The pair followed the appropriate health and safety protocols before joining their new teammates in full team training.Â
The players will be eligible to make their Inter Miami debuts when the team returns to action on July 17, the day it takes on the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on My33, UniMás and the Inter Miami App.
