Alvarado: “I come here to work hard and give it my all on the pitch”

Inter Miami recently announced the signing of defender Ventura Alvarado to add depth to the squad and bolster the team’s backline. Ventura, who had played the entirety of his career in Mexico, was excited about joining the Club and starting a new chapter in his career.

“Inter Miami is a very important team in the United States, even though it is a new team. Many players want to come to this team and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to join this great Club,” said Alvarado. “The Club’s facilities are world class, I had never been in such a modern team, such a new team. It’s incredible.”

The 28-year-old Mexican American center back, who enjoyed a successful career in Mexican soccer, winning three Liga MX titles, two Concacaf Champions League titles and a Copa MX title, then touched upon what he brings to Inter Miami’s roster. 

“Mainly what I bring is experience and intensity and I hope to pass on that same intensity to my teammates. I want to make history and leave my mark at the Club and I will work very hard to do so.”

Additionally, Alvarado shared his first impressions of his new teammates and the loyal Inter Miami fanbase. 

“It’s a team with a healthy mix of young and experienced players in the squad. There are certain things we need to improve on as a group, but everyone has a lot of quality.”

“The fans are fantastic, they are like a family that is united to support the team. Its something very good for us as players and we have to deliver good results and bring them joy,” he added.

Lastly, the Club’s most recent signing had a message for the team’s supporters.

“I’m going to work hard every day. This is what I love and I give it my all in training and even more in matches. More than anything I want them to know that I come here to work hard and give it my all on the pitch," concluded Alvarado.
