The Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health continues to produce memorable moments as we continue to compete this season. Over its recent matches, our youngest talents on the U-12 teams have scored several standout goals.
Karim Montealegre, U-12
After a throw-in, Aiden Crooks collected the ball and dribbled past the defenders as he made his way from the left corner of the field to the middle of the box before passing the ball to teammate Karim Montealegre. Montealegre then sent the ball sailing over the goalkeeper's head with a strong right-footed long-distance strike.
Aiden Crooks, U-12
With great vision on display, Chris Banos redirected a pass to teammate Aiden Crooks, who outran a defender and finished with a low driven shot to beat the goalkeeper.
Matthew Torres, U-12
Daniel Veves was able to evade a defender with good footwork before passing the ball to teammate Matthew Torres in midfield. Torres then made room for himself on the right side of the pitch just outside of the box, and struck a right-footed shot into the back of the net.
Clement Bonal, U-12
Roberto Sarindha avoided two defenders that were immediately in front of him and passed to teammate Clement Bonal on his left. Bonal then unleashed a shot to the far post for the goal.
Daniel Veves, U-12
With three defenders closing in on him, Nico Lafuente delivered a forward pass to teammate Daniel Veves. Veves then outpaced the defenders on his tail and finished the play with a right-footed strike to send the ball to the back of the net.
Kai Nesfield, U-12
With an open lane on the right side of the field, Mathias Martinez bolted into the clear area up ahead before delivering a ball into the box. Kai Nesfield then redirected the pass with a right-footed tap into the net.
Ben Pesce, U-12
After a smooth spin move to evade a defender, Kai Nesfield found teammate Ben Pesce with a pass inside the box. Pesce then finished with a powerful right-footed shot to beat the keeper.
U-12 Team Update
The Academy’s youngest group continued their early stages of development last weekend with matches against local teams.
“We were happy overall with the performances from the team and individual players on the weekend. We are still early in the season and the group is progressing well in terms of applying the style of play and collective ideas on the field,” said U-12 Academy coach Ben Applefield. “We look forward to building off where we are currently and continuing to push forward with the players in the coming weeks."
