Inter Miami CF midfielder and Designated Player Rodolfo Pizarro has joined the Mexico National Team’s 26-man roster for its upcoming international fixtures against South Korea and Japan.
El Tri will travel to Austria to face South Korea on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m. ET and Japan on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m. ET.
Pizarro was last called up by Mexico in their most recent fixtures, a pair of international friendlies in October. The midfielder started in El Tri’s 0-1 win over the European powerhouse Netherlands on Oct. 7, registering 63 minutes played, and its 2-2 draw with reigning Africa Cup of Nations champion Algeria on Oct. 13, registering 64 minutes played.
Upon his return from national team duty, Pizarro will follow the necessary health and safety protocols set forth by Major League Soccer.
