Inter Miami’s series of FIFA 20 eFriendlies returns on Wednesday, May, 20 for its second installment. Following midfielder Lee Nguyen’s victory with an aggregate score of 10-7 against LAFC’s Mark-Anthony Kaye on May 9, Inter Miami rookie forward Robbie Robinson will be facing off against Nashville SC’s Tanner Dieterich, who was his teammate at Clemson University.
The matchup will kick off at 7 p.m. ET and will be airing on the Club’s Twitch, Youtube and Facebook channels, as well as on the Club’s official app.
The first-overall selection of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft has previously put his video game skills to use for a virtual competition during the season’s pause, as he participated in the Twitch Rivals SuperGames ft. Fortnite for charity in April, contributing to Baptist Health Foundation’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund in the process.
The match will be hosted by Inter Miami digital host Fernando Fiore, a two-time Emmy award-winning broadcaster from Argentina, and Jamie Watson, Nashville SC’s TV color analyst.
The competitors were teammates during their time as players for the Clemson Tigers, with Dieterich wearing the captain’s armband and Robinson leading the team’s attack and winning the Clemson University Male Athlete of the Year.
