While Major League Soccer (MLS) continues to practice social distancing, Inter Miami returns to action with a series of FIFA 20 eFriendlies. To start things off, on Saturday, May 9, Inter Miami midfielder Lee Nguyen will be playing his ex-teammate, LAFC midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye, in a thrilling FIFA 20 contest.
The matchup will begin at 5 p.m. ET and will be airing on the Club’s Twitch, Youtube and Facebook channels, as well as on the Club’s official app.
Nguyen is no stranger to virtual competitions during the season’s pause, as he participated in Inter Miami’s FIFA 20 tournament as part of Twitch’s Stream Aid 2020, virtual event that raised over $2.7 million for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity, Response Fund, as well as taking part in the Twitch Rivals SuperGames ft. Fortnite for Charity in support of the Baptist Health Foundation’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.
The match will be hosted by Inter Miami digital host Kaylyn Kyle, a former midfielder for the Canadian national team and current TV reporter, and Max Bretos, LAFC’s lead broadcaster.
Nguyen and Kaye played together at LAFC over two seasons, sharing the midfield as members of the successful 2019 team that won the Supporters’ Shield and broke the MLS single-season points record.
